Birmingham plan £6million raid for Tottenham defensive ace

Birmingham are poised to make a £6million move for Tottenham defender Alan Hutton.
Hutton, 25, has struggled to command a regular first-team place at White Hart Lane following his £9m move from Rangers back in January 2008.
The Scottish international was sent out on loan to Sunderland last season and he has fallen way down the pecking order after Harry Redknapp signed Kyle Walker and Kyle Naughton from Sheffield United last season.
Hutton is now looking to get his career back on track and Birmingham boss Alex McLeish is keen to strengthen his squad before the end of August.
The Blues boss wants to add some competition to the backline and is hoping to finalise a deal for Hutton in the next few days.
