The only criteria for submitting a dream team is they must be players you have seen play. Suggestions as to a group Dream team please. For me any group team has to have Greaves in it lol.

Re: Dream Team Book.
GK. Erik "The Viking"
RB. Stephen Carr, thought he was brilliant for us at right back.
LB. Gareth Bale, plays his best football at Left Back.
CB. Gary Mabbutt, Legend!!
CB. Ledley King, without his injury problems would have been the best.
RM. Aaron Lennon, everything you want from a winger.
CM. Paul Gascoigne, My fav ever player, just class!
CM. Luka Modric, could become a WHL Legend
LM. Daviv Ginola, Oooozzed class.
FW. Jurgen Klinsmann, Fantastic goalscorer.
FW. Gary Lineker, Knew exactly where the back of the net was.
Subs.
GK. Paul Robinson, had his best years at Spurs.
Cristian Ziege, solid fullback.
Michael Dawson, is fast becoming world class centerhalf
Stefen Freund, always gave 100%
Teddy Sheringham, one of our greatest ever goalscorers

Re: Dream Team Book.
Baz is Mr Giller updating the book that came out a couple of years ago called "The Lane of Dreams" in which he selected this very team from votes by Spurs supporters.

Re: Dream Team Book.
Left Back Benny, On his day he is untouchable. I nearly picked Cyril Knowles but if I did my team would be littered with older players.
Centre half Mike England. The big man was a great defender. Tough and reliable.
Centre half Ledders. As Lee said when fit I don't think there is anyone better in Europe possibly the World.
Right Back Steve Perryman. Although he didn't l;ook it he was a hard man. He was influential on the pitch too. A true proffessional.
Left wing Ginola. Amazing player and scored some great goals for us.
CM Has to be Hoddle. Born is the King of White Hart Lane. That was true in every way.
CM Mabbut. What a great player he was. Considering his disability he was a marvel. He would also be my captain as well.
RW Aaron Lennon, if only he could find that final ball.
Striker.Jimmy Greaves, no doubt for me. He oozed class in everyway. His goalscoring record is second to none.
Second striker is a difficult choice. I am going to plump for Chivers though as he and Greaves forged a brief but fruitful partnership when Gilzean left.
Subs
Erik the Viking.
Alan Gilzean.
Ossie Ardiles.
Michael Dawson.
Cyril Knowles.

As far as I'm aware from what he wrote to me. It's a new book. It seems to be a book of Dream teams put forward by Spurs supporters mate. I'll find the Message.

Re: Dream Team Book.
Just as a matter of interest the team selected in The Lane of Dreams was:
Jennings who received 97% vote
Ramsey
England
Burgess
King
Blanchflower
Hoddle
Mackay
Greaves
Smith
Waddle
The most popular format was 4 3 3
Be interesting to se how close to that it is now.

Re: Dream Team Book.
Now here's mine
GK Pat Jennings probably the best keeper I've seen
RB Alf Ramsey only just remember him but a great passer
CB Mike England the best we've seen so far
CB Gary Mabbutt Couldn't leave him out
LB Ledley King again has to be included so I put him here
RM John White My hero the ghost just a complete player made Spurs tick. Missed 15games
in his time and we only won once when he was out
CM Glen Hoddle Perfect passer scorer of great goals
CM Dave Mackay the hard man would run through walls
LM Cliff Jones Pace brave great in the air and on the ground
F Jimmy Greaves Simply the best
F Martin Chivers Would have been a great foil for Greaves
Subs. Ted Ditchburn just in front of Ray Clemence mainly bacause he played in the time when goalkeepers had no referee protection
Phil Beal good steady reliable defender
Cyril Knowles only left out because of Ledders
Danny Blanchflower great captain
Paul Gascoigne difficult not to include if only for the laughs
Chris Waddle second only to Cliff Jones
Bobby Smith a battering ram never shirked a tackle scored loads

Re: Dream Team Book.
Now when you say players that you must have seen play, does this mean only players you saw live, i.e. from your own era, rather than players you saw on the TV?
I'm assumng you mean players from our era, in which case mine is;
GK - Pat Jennings. Best I've ever seen in any team at any time anywhere.
LB - Disco Benny. Rel quality and it'll get up Vis's nose! (Smilie Vis so don't shoot please)
RB - Steve Perryman. Mr Spurs.
CB - Ledders without a shadow, when fit is the best in the World IMHO and when have we ever said that about a Spurs player?
CB - Graham Roberts. I'm gutted to have to leave out Lord Gary but Roberts went through walls for the Lillywhite.
LM - Ginola. Culture, quality and a host of other superlatives.
RM - Chris Waddle. He almost got canned for the daft mullet though. Baaad Chreees Waddle.
CM - Hoddle. Like I really need to explain this one.
CM - Paul Gascoigne. Had everything in his game.
CF - I'm choosing a pair here and it's Crooks and Archibald. Taken as individuals there are better strikers that I have seen, but as a partnership these two were superb.
Subs: Gotta get Moddle in here somewhere.
Mabbutt
Thorsvedt
Sheringham & Klinsmann
