LOL Nic nice go at the wind-up. I seem to recall you being called to task on vin persil and his admitance of, like a cheap hooker, going down easy and you saying all players do it ! I dislike the ease with which Bale tumbles. It's something I do not wish to see any player of the team I support do. You pulled Shear up 2 posts in for giving examples of players who no longer play at the highest level diving. Yet the younger players will learn from what they see happening on the pitch. Cheats & divers SHOULD be punished. Maybe France should not have made the last world cup because of cheating ? But they did. And many other teams & players have benefited from such practices . . ..

As I recall Seebee Eddy was formally investigated by Uefa -received a ban but was exonerated on appeal when the decision was reviewed by Uefa
If he had been found guilty he deserved a lengthy ban
And that as far as I recall was the only diving incident involving Eddy
I would like nothing more than every one of Bale's dives to be investigated
and for him to receive a fair hearing

Kingy - you want to support a club that succeeds stays up, wins trophies or whatever by cheating that is up to you
If it was a choice between staying up by cheating or relegation and no cheating I'd be playing in the Championship

Ah Nic for me that is the crux in your post. vp admits he goes down. The one man band who has carried your season. Have you ever seen me condone this type of play ? We had a thread awhile back along these lines. Some posters said why not do what others to do us, some were it's not right. I was in the latter camp. As I said this is a part of Bales game I do not like but I think Lew has so far best summed it up. Yes condem the divers but what about the cloggers ? Kingy makes a point about 89th min pen. How about pires diving against Pompey to save your invincible season ? Cheating ? If so it demeans in total the acheivements of your team that season . . . .

I agree entirely Vis - cheating demeans achievement whether that is RvP Pires or anyone else at AFC
And accordingly the week in and week out cheating of Bale this season needs to be erased from your club if you seriously intend to take any value from the season

Wanting to remove cheating from the game is not being a "paragon of all things virtuous" as far as I know Baz
If Arsenal players cheat they should be exposed and shamed - I cannot ever recall my NOT slamming an Arsenal player who cheated - can you ?
