Charlie Adam was accused of committing a deliberate foul that left
Gareth Bale with his damaged left ankle in a splint last night.
Kevin Keegan, the former England manager, was ­covering the game as an expert summariser for ESPN.
Keegan studied replays of Adam’s challenge and said: “It’s a terrible, terrible tackle and he means it.”
