He's looked good in Holland & for Uruguay but not always. In fact he's been woeful for Ajax recently and the name Kezman springs to mind when i think of him, i'm not convinced at all.
If you had your way Jim, who would you like?

Re: Striker.
With Liverpool looking most the likely club to sign Ajax and Uruguay striker Luis Suarez, and Darren Bent set to move to Aston Villa, finding a top class striker on the transfer market will be quite a tough task for Tottenham, but their game against Manchester United proved that it is the one thing they are really missing from being title challengers.

How is it a load of tosh Lobo,,, have you seen him play in the Premiership? You have to watch out with Strikers from the Dutch League they often fall flat on there faces in England Alves at Boro, Kezman & Kuyt has never been a the goal getter he was in the Holland. Yes RVN & Bergkamp are exceptions & very good players but i can't see Suarez in that class though. I've seen him many times both for Ajax & Internationally & i'm still not convinced.
As for me thinking Crouch(ing) Tiger Hidden Talent is concerned i don't mind him on the bench as an option but not as a starting tactic. he's a long way from being good enough but we've got to stop buying for buying sake & i think Suarez would fit into that category.
As for Modric it depends who you talk to i said he'd make it because i'd seen him work his socks off & put his foot in.

If i had my way,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Podolski would be a player i think we could get but in a perfect world Diego Milito would be my target. But as for Prem experience Hugo Rodallega from Wigan.

Thats the problem dj ! i cant name one decent striker that i think is available in the market.
Obviously money speaks volumes and i would have thought newcastle would have been well interested in cashing in on carroll, and i think carroll certainly has the potential to be a great player.
I havent seen enough of suarez to form an opinion but jim is pretty forthright in his opinion of him.

Modric came from the croation league , it was a big gamble, suarez has played at the highest level ie the world cup and was one of if not top goal scorer , i really dont see the problem, unless your just assuming redknapp isnt sure about Suarez because from what ive read Redknapp is supposed to be a big fan of his , ok you saw Modric play before, for his country or the croation league , what makes that different from suarez , podolski will never happen , you used accuse me of being a fantasist lol
