Keane or Defoe in their prime

We all know that Robbie Keane has seen better days, but personally I think he's one of the greatest strikers we've had since Gary Linekar and Jurgen Klinsmann. It's not just his goals and some of the incredible ones that he has scored for us over the years, it's his assists and more importantly his work rate that puts him ahead of Defoe in his prime for us in my opinion. Keane never ever stops running, he used to be such a livewire and I always felt like we had a chance with him on the pitch in his pomp.

Now to Defoe. Don't get me wrong, he's got a decent goalscoring record and we certainly miss him when he's unavailable, but I think some of our fans do have a tendency to overrate him. His record against the big clubs and in away games is simply not good enough for a striker of his quality.

For me, Keane just edges it.
