Tell you what you got boys
You have got a club that you boys have been looking upwards at since the Internet consisted of two cups and a piece of string
A club that in spite of your recent upturn you are incapable of getting out of your minds
And a club that perhaps may be slightly above yours come close of business today
How's the stadium going ?
Truth hurts hey nic ? guess drawing with wolves is what we were doing last term.
Like your a*ses sign, guess the view is a bit sh*tty down there, will get worse if man city take van persil off you in the window,to join his old mates, you know money talks for you goons !

As you goons say nic, 1960/61 is well forgotten, and so are the 1990s and early 2000s, the HERE and NOW is that you are trailing us by quite a few, you cant go by old results old son, as you say its the here and now.

Re: Match Thread Vs Chelsea
I recall a few years back a very tidy season from Spuds with Martin Jol in charge, you always ahead of us bu a few points, and you going into the last game just needing a result at the lamentably feeble 'Ammers.
As I said yesterday with three points for a win and with sides slipping up left and right ( Spuds included) it doesn't take much for what looks like a comfortable gap to disappear - or equally what might look like touching distance to suddenly be a stiff challenge to recover
What you need to concentrate on is finishing the season as strongly as you have managed in the season so far - I know this

Absolutely right nic and actually its good to engage in a bit of old fashioned banter on here again.
It isnt a comfortable gap alright, it is quite fragile to tell the truth.
But so is your reliance on van persie, my worry is that if we lose key players then the challenge will flounder, you cant replace parker, although sandro is very good, you cant replace friedel with gomes, you cant replace vdv because whatever any spurs fans say the bloke is shear class, harry is learning that bale will be double marked and is moving him around and although norwich arent much of a yardstick i think it confused their game plan.
Both teams were hurt early season nic, and both have recovered, it looks like a good old north london struggle for supremacy as it was in the old days when i haunted whl.

anicoll5 wrote:Two very decent footballing sides Lew and I have no problem with a bit of decent competition for the top spot in London, which it is now with Chelsea well below their best of a few years back - I don't think we were as badly hurt by the departure of Cesc and Nasri as we were by the six months out for Wilshere - he'll be back though, probably just coming back to his best for the NLD
I think chelsea will be a pain in the a*se for us again this coming window nic, levy will be tested again, i dont think he will chance cl participation for a pay out on modric, it all depends on what modric wants to do, we saw the same with berbatov, to his credit modric had played as he usually does.
Just wish they would leave our players alone and accept what levy has said.

Re: Match Thread Vs Chelsea
Of the present line up - Szczney, Djourou, Song, Theo, Ramsey, Jack (when fit), Diaby ( when fit) and last but hardly least RvP all kicked off in the CC
Of our recent youngsters Ignasi, Frimpong, Jenkinson and Coquelin all got their starts in the CC
And of our old boys most notably Cesc and Clichy both first made their mark in the CC before having a sniff of first team action - not to mention the Spuds favourite Eboue
I have to say Lought the CC has proved a very good entry point for a few players

Clearly both clubs have no star strikers
Lucky we managed to win our CL group though and did not run into goal scoring machines like Rubin Kazan or PAOK
